Boston's Best Receiving Warehouse for Showrooms and Homeowners
Sofas for Back Bay and lighting for Brookline ship to our Boston receiving warehouse on the South Shore and wait until our crew brings them into the room.

What a receiving warehouse means for Greater Boston
A receiving warehouse is a commercial address that accepts deliveries for you when the home or office cannot. Ours for Boston is in Hanover: carriers book a weekday slot, the packaging is photographed and condition-checked against your list, and the order stays in climate-controlled storage until the rooms are finished.
What Boston receiving covers

A loading dock in place of a brick sidewalk
Arrival photos you can open from anywhere
Inspection whenever you ask, free
Surprise cartons traced, not refused
Storage that rides out a Massachusetts winter
Many vendors, one place to hold them
Building rules met before the crew arrives
How receiving works at Columbia Road

Receive
Have vendors ship to 389 Columbia Rd Suite 30, Hanover, MA 02339, with your name or project on each label. Carriers set an appointment Monday to Friday between 9am and 3pm. Send us your list and the bill of lading once the order ships.
Inspect, Photograph, and Document
On arrival, the outside packaging is condition-checked against the list you sent us; damage is reported before storage, and cartons are opened and inspected on request. Photos go into Bond under your project, and your login shows what is already in Hanover and what is still on its way.
Store
The order sits grouped by project in climate-controlled space while a Wellesley kitchen is finished, a Cambridge closing is pushed back, or the September 1 lease turnover clogs the streets of Allston and Brighton.
Deliver and install
On the day you choose, our own crew loads in Hanover, sends a text about 30 minutes before arriving, and shares live tracking on the way. Railings and doorways are covered first, then every piece is placed and assembled and the cartons and blankets go back on the truck.
Receiving warehouse, storage unit or 3PL for a Boston project?
| What you get | Receiving warehouse | Self-storage unit | Standard 3PL |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who accepts the delivery | Signed for at Hanover under your project name | Nobody, unless you drive out to meet the carrier | The warehouse floor, recorded as inventory |
| Can a freight line deliver there | Yes, by weekday appointment | Usually not; units are not built to take freight | Yes |
| Proof of condition on arrival | Packaging photographed, cartons opened on request | No record at all | Often just a box count |
| Through humid summers and freezing winters | Climate and humidity controlled, kept by project | Depends on the facility | Shelved for picking and shipping |
| Brownstones, triple-deckers and condo towers | Certificate of insurance sent ahead, route covered | Up to you and whoever you hire | Rarely part of the offer |
| What the last step looks like | Carried in, placed and assembled, packaging gone | You load and carry it yourself | Dropped at the curb or a dock |
