Shipments being received at an Elite Anywhere warehouse

What a receiving warehouse does for a procurement office

A receiving warehouse accepts vendor freight on your behalf while the project site cannot. For a procurement office, Elite Anywhere gives each job a commercial ship-to address near the site, photographs and condition-checks each arrival, files it in Bond under the right project, and holds it in climate-controlled storage until delivery day.

What procurement teams get from our receiving

Receiving at an Elite Anywhere warehouse
A dock address for every project
Trade vendors want a commercial dock with set hours, and a site under construction rarely has one. Each job ships to the nearest of our 34 warehouse locations, by appointment on weekdays from 9am to 3pm.
Arrivals filed job by job
When you run several projects at once, one vendor’s freight can belong to three of them. Every delivery is photographed, matched to the list you sent us for that project, and logged in Bond under it.
One login across your open projects
Your team is given a login to our warehouse system that shows deliveries on the way, item status, photo check-ins and live tracking, with a line to message the warehouse team directly.
Damage reported before storage
Packaging that lands damaged is photographed and reported to you, and you decide whether we open it. Inspection on request costs nothing, and the photos back up your claim with the vendor.
Unannounced freight traced, not refused
With many orders open, roughly two shipments in ten arrive with no notice. The team calls the carrier or the vendor to find the project a carton belongs to.
Held while the schedule slips
Orders wait together in climate-controlled space with humidity and pest control, short or long term with no minimum period. Ask for fresh photos of any piece at any point.
Placed, assembled and cleared on site
The crew protects the route in, carries each piece to its room, assembles and levels it, hangs art and light fixtures, and leaves with the packaging. Fixture wiring stays with your electrician.
Building paperwork handled
Certificates of insurance go to the building or hotel before delivery day, and the customer sign-off at the end of each delivery is documented and kept on record.

How receiving works for a procurement office

Received boxes logged and stored at an Elite Anywhere warehouse
1

Receive

Send us the vendor list for each project and give vendors our address with the project name on the order. Carriers book a weekday appointment between 9am and 3pm, and we ask for the bill of lading so we know what actually shipped.

2

Inspect, Photograph, and Document

Outer packaging is condition-checked against your list, and damage is reported before storage; cartons are opened for inspection whenever you ask, at no charge. Each arrival is photographed and logged in Bond under its project, so your login shows which purchase orders have landed and which are still coming.

3

Store

A project’s orders sit together in climate-controlled storage while drywall, flooring or a late permit holds up the site. You or your client can visit them while they wait.

4

Deliver and install

On the date you set, the orders go out to the site. Your site contact gets a text about 30 minutes before the crew arrives, and the crew places and assembles each piece, removes the packaging and records the sign-off.

Frequently asked questions

Receiving for procurement offices: common questions

Do you buy or specify the furniture?
No. You place the orders with vendors, and Elite Anywhere receives, stores, delivers and installs what you buy. If you want one team for the whole furniture, fixtures and equipment package, from vendor freight to the finished room, see our FF&E logistics page.
Can one warehouse receive for several of our projects at once?
Yes. Each arrival is logged under its own project, so freight from a single vendor for three jobs is kept on the right project, and each project’s orders go out when its site is ready. Storage terms are short or long with no minimum; more on our furniture storage page.
Can you receive for projects in different cities?
Yes. Ship each project’s orders to our warehouse location nearest the site, and our own crew delivers from there, including in cities served by a partner warehouse. Two examples are our New York and Denver receiving warehouses.
What happens if a vendor’s shipment arrives damaged?
The packaging is photographed as it lands. If it shows damage, we tell you before the piece is stored and you decide whether we open it; inspection on request is free. You get the photos for your claim with the vendor. How our receiving works everywhere is on the receiving warehouse page.
Can you deliver into a hotel that is still open?
Yes. Hotel jobs run while the property stays open, and crews work around guests. We issue the certificate of insurance the property asks for, protect the route in before anything moves, and take the packaging away when the rooms are done.
How is receiving for a procurement office priced?
Every job is quoted individually. The quote depends on how many vendors are shipping, the size and number of pieces, how long they are held, and the delivery address and its rules. Send us the vendor list and the site dates, and we’ll respond within 24 hours.

Purchase orders shipping before the site is ready?

Send us each project’s vendor list and site dates. We’ll respond within 24 hours, then receive, hold and deliver the orders when the site can take them.
